Comments & Further Information

A first UK edition hardback with a full 1 to 10 number sequence indicating a first printing.  Bumped at head and tail of book spine.  Heavy age tanning to pages making them rather brown but still eminently readable.  The dust jacket is complete, still shows the price, but is showing signs of wear to the extremities.  Creased at head and tail of jacket spine to match the bumps.

SYNOPSIS:  “Sinister memories of Piers Adair’s childhood haunt him, eventually compelling him to search for a strange inhuman group of people whose macabre history is bound up with a centuries-old legend.  He traces them to a remote Scottish island, but it’s only when the darkly charismatic leader leaves the island that Piers begins to realise he is being lured increasingly close to the legend’s grisly heart.

In London, Felicity Stafford is struggling to come to terms with the death of her husband, Connor.  The chilling post-mortem report states that Con’s blood fits no known human classification.  And when a young man with the same dangerous charm as Connor enters her life, Felicity and her small daughter become threatened by the past.

A lonely woodland cottage serves as a temporary sanctuary for her, but as past and present, legend and truth merge, the wolves are once again seen in the ancient wildwood…

A recreation of the immortal story of Little Red Riding Hood.”
