Comments & Further Information

Professor Alistair Dirke thought himself a reasonable man. He could scarcely acknowledge the suspicion that was beginning to grow in his mind every time he saw his wife, Rose with his friend, Paul Eckleston. Paul seemed to be there very often these days. Yet, soon, a still more terrible suspicion was to grow and spread through the little community of Rollway, where the Dirkes had hitherto lived in peace with their neighbours. A man was murdered and a valuable collection of coins disappeared. The book is in VERY GOOD condition FOR ITS AGE in a GOOD dustjacket although both the book and the dustjacket are showing signs of wear. Some internal repairs to the dustjacket. There is also foxing internally to the dustjacket which shows through to the back panel. There is some foxing on the edges of the pages which impinges only to a minor extent on the page faces but does not affect the text. The book remains tightly bound.
