This is a paperback edition from 1975. It is a reprint of the revised 1972 edition by William Collins (the title was first published in 1947). In very nice condition for its age. Some tanning to pages and a minor bump to the head of the book spine. Previous owner’s initials written on the first page.

SYNOPSIS: “Penny and Peter leant against the trunk of a great fir tree while above them the branches tossed and threshed. Suddenly Peter said in excitement: “Watch! Somebody is signalling… That’s Morse.” “We’ve found them!” Penny shouted.
“I’m scared” said Peter, “I’ve been here before. I remember now… There ought to be a fire! Look behind you!”
