Comments & Further Information

First UK (A format 110x178mm) paperback with a full 1 to 10 number sequence indicating a first printing of this edition. The book is in VERY GOOD condition for its age. Tanning to pages making them quite brown, but the book remains eminently readable. Reading creases to spine. “Stumbling into the dimness of a temple, Claire paused to remove her dusty sandals and wash herself in the stone basin . . . she started as she saw the idol looming above the vast tiled floor. There was no mistaking the red-rimmed eyes and lolling tongue of her vision and she could almost smell the blood and the stench of corruption though the temple was bedecked with flowers. She looked up into the merciless face and felt her heart sink.” Claire d’Avebury, firstborn of Geoffrey, has long listened to the tales of her family’s intimate relationship with the gods but not once has one of their illustrious company spoken to her. Why does no god call out to Claire?” IN STOCK FOR IMMEDIATE DESPTCH
