First UK edition hardback in very good condition for its age. Bumped at base of book spine and at the top left-hand corner of the rear board. Age tanning to pages making them rather brown, but still eminently readable. The dust jacket is complete, still shows the price, but is showing signs of wear. Published by Michael Joseph in association with Souvenir Press.
SYNOPSIS: “Seen from the outside, the First Mercantile American Bank seems a cathedral of respectability, as sound and solid as Fort Knox. Yet the bank is surrounded by corruption, double dealing and incompetence.”
