Comments & Further Information

First UK edition hardback in good condition for its age. Bumped at head and tail of book spine. Edges of boards rubbed and sunned. Tanning to pages. The dust jacket is complete and still shows the price. It is showing definite signs of wear and is scuffed at the edges and there are various nicks and chips. It is very grubby, especially the rear panel. Foxed internally with some repairs. SYNOPSIS: As Sports Editor of Picture Post, and author of several books, Denzil Batchelor has already made his name distinguished among cricket writers. But in this book he has approached eleven of the finest cricketers of all time and has heard from their own lips of the one match in particular which stands out in their respective memories. Amongst his choice are, Hobbs and Sutcliffe, Dennis Compton, Sir Pelham Warner, Ames and more.” IN STOCK FOR IMMEDIATE DESPATCH
