A First UK edition hardback in very good condition for its age. Soime tanning to pages and a little foxing to the edges of pages, not affecting the text. The dust jacket is complete, has been price-clipped and re-priced by the publisher but is showing signs of wear at the extremities. Some fading to the dustjacket spine.
SYNOPSIS: “Captain James Cook, RN, the great navigator was killed in the Pacific aged 50. In three great voyages of discovery, the first two in search of the Southern Continent, the third probing the Arctic for a North-West Passage – he sailed more than 160,000 miles.
