Comments & Further Information

A first UK edition hardback in very good condition for its age.  Age tanning to pages making them rather brown but still eminently readable, and some minor foxing to page edges not affecting text.  The dust jacket is complete and still shows the price.  Some minor foxing internally not visible externally.

The first Charlie Meiklejohn and Constance Leidl mystery.

SYNOPSIS:  “Ro Cavanaugh has two obsessions: his small Oregon theatre company and his beloved niece, Ginnie, a talented stage designer. Then a new director comes to town, bringing in tow an eccentric playwright. Jealousies spring up, tempers flare, a murder is committed and Ginnie is police suspect number one.

Ex-NY cop turned private investigator, Charlie Meiklejohn, and his wife, psychologist Constance Leidl are called in to clear Ginnie’s name and they immerse themselves in the day-to-day running of the troubled company.  The deeper they dig into the claustrophobic theatre community, the more disturbing the secrets they unearth.  And what they discover only serves to escalate the violence…  and threatens further bloodshed.”
