A first printing of the Penguin edition in good condition for its age. Tanning to pages making them rather brown but still eminently readable. The covers are showing signs of wear to the extremities and there is a small stain on the rear cover. Reading creases to spine. The book remains tightly bound and square.
SYNOPSIS: “During the 21st century, increases in solar radiation have caused the melting of ice caps and a commensurate rise in sea levels. Temperatures across the globe have risen, and population have migrated to the poles. London is just one city in a drowned world and an expedition is travelling to record whatever is left living.”
