This is a first UK edition paperback (title was previously published by Jonathan Cape in hardback in 1965).
Heavy age tanning to pages making them rather brown but still eminently readable. Some tanning and discolouration to the inside of the front and back covers where a protective sleeve has been removed. Previous owner’s name written on the first page.
The covers are showing some signs of wear to the extremities and are rubbed and along the edges. Some minor damage to the rear cover (see photo). There are many chips to the spine and a small crease at the top of the front cover.
