Comments & Further Information

A first UK edition hardback in very good condition for its age.  Bumped at head and tail of book spine and some rubbing to extremities of boards.  Age tanning to pages.  Pages 87/90 have been slightly mis-cut at the bottom resulting in one page having a tiny extra piece and the following page is missing that small piece.  This does not affect the text.  The dust jacket is complete and still shows the price but is showing signs of wear.  Some minor damage to the laminate on the dustjacket spine.

SYNOPSIS:  “A fast moving novel of suspense and mystery that lays its trail over ravaged post-war Europe.

The war was almost over. In the holocaust, who was to worry about one more RAF plane which had been shot down five years earlier when blitzkrieg broke out in the Low Countries and the Ardennes? And who had time for painstakingly tying up loose ends in a seemingly routine interrogation of three German servicemen picked up as the Allies advanced into Germany? Yet Squadron Leader Ted Gill, former policeman and now in RAF Intelligence, puzzled over the problem and his Scotland Yard training sent him on a search that was not to end for ten years.”
