A near fine copy of The Devil’s Dictionary by Grange Books. The book (a large sized paperback) is undated but has a copyright date of 2005. The Devil’s Dictionary begain in 1881 in a weekly paper, and continued in a desultory fashion at long intervals until 1906. In that year a large part of it was published as a book with the title The Cynic’s Word Book, a name which the author had not the power to reject or happiness to approve.
