Comments & Further Information

A US  mass market paperback edition. First printing of the Bantam Books edition. The book is in very good condition for its age but is showing signs of wear. There is heavy tanning to the pages and the inside of the covers, but the book remains eminently readable. There is a very faint crease across the bottom right-hand corner of the front cover.

SYNOPSIS:  “Though most of defence investigator Cecil Younge’s clients are defendants, this one is the victim of a crime. Louise Root wants Younger to break through corporate cover-ups and police apathy to find evidence against the man who raped her in an isolated mining camp. But before she is ready to tell him the details of the assault, her body is found in a salmon run with her throat slashed.

Suddenly Younger’s case is as thick and murky as an oil tanker spill – and its dark and deadly stain is beginning to spread…”
