Comments & Further Information

A first UK edition hardback in very good condition for its age. Age tanning to pages.  Some minor rubbing to the edges of the boards and top and bottom of book spine.   The dust jacket is complete, still shows the price but is showing some slight signs of wear.

SYNOPSIS:  “Set in the 1920’s against the rich backdrop of Queensland’s cane country, Tarom is Doc Telfer’s town. He has watched it with a paternal eye for over 40 years until now he knows all its secrets, some of which are best forgotten. Tarom is a sugar town and the Mill is the centre of all the town’s activities. The Mill owner’s wife is a person of considerable importance and Mrs Lavinia May Jobson (Mrs TJ) never lets anyone forget this.”
