This is Volumes 1 and 2 of the Everyman Library edition pocket-sized hardbacks which lack a dust jacket. First published in this edition in 1909, these are reprint edition from 1942. The books both say that “This book is produced in complete conformity with the authorized economy standards.”
VOLUME 1 – age tanning to pages. Some foxing to leading edges of pages not affecting text. The boards are a little grubby and are bumped at the head and tail of the book spine and also the corners of the front board.
VOLUME 2 – age tanning to pages. Some foxing to leading edges not affecting text. Pages 519 – 550 have a small crease at the bottom corner where the pages have been turned over. The boards are grubby and are bumped at the head and tail of the spine. There is also a small dent in the top and bottom boards.
