A first UK edition hardback. Heavy age tanning to pages making them very brown but still eminently readable. The dust jacket is complete and still shows the price. The rear panel is more yellow than white but apart from that it is in nice condition.
SYNOPSIS: “In Vienna, in the aftermath of the Second World War, Julius Hechter is rescued by his grandmother and brought to England. A child of his time, Julius cannot be quite sure where or when he was born, except that it was in wartime Hungary. His parents were deported and murdered, and he knows about them only what his grandmother and others choose to tell him. ”
