Comments & Further Information

A first US edition hardback with a stated first Carrol & Graph Edition 2007.  Bumped at head and tail of book spine.  Some tanning to pages.  The dust jacket is complete, still shows the price but is showing some signs of wear to the extremities.  Creasing at top and bottom edge to match the bumps on the spine.

The eighth book in the Lord Edward Corinth and Verity Browne series.

SYNOPSIS:   “Journalist Verity Browne comes home from an assignment in Prague with suspected tuberculosis.  The only cure is deemed to be rest and a healthy diet so her anxious fiance, Lord Edward Corinth, arranges for her to stay at a private clinic in Henley-on-Thames.

This is convenient for Edward as he can keep an eye on Verity while investigating the sadistic murder of his dentist, Eric Silver, whose death has a Henley connection…”
