Comments & Further Information

A first UK edition in very good condition for its age. Tanning to pages and foxing to leading edges and bottom edges of pages, not affecting text. The titles to spine remain clean and bright. The dust jacket is complete and still shows the price. However, it is showing signs of wear and is somewhat grubby. There is foxing across the top, bottom and down the edges of the flaps and also internally. SYNOPSIS: “This is a novel of moral dilemmas. The British Administrator of a decaying Caribbean island is under pressure from the government to authorize a development scheme promoted by a syndicate of U.S. gamblers. Sympathetic to the islanders’ wish to preserve their simple, religious society, the Administrator soon finds himself in conflict with the visiting Minister of State.” IN STOCK FOR IMMEDIATE DESPATCH
