This book club edition is in very good condition for its age. Undated but circa 1962. Small sympathetic repair to inside of dustjacket – not visible externally. Flaps of dustjacket a little grubby. Bumped at head of book spine and at bottom of front board. Very light tanning to pages. John Creasey writing as Gordon Ashe. The second story of the Crime Haters. “On the border between France and Spain in the rugged Pyrenees an idyllic honeymoon became a nightmare when the young bride was kidnapped. Distraught, the bridegroom went for help – to learn that the kidnapping was one of an unsolved series which had plagued the frontier for years. Because so many lovely girls had disappeared – some of them to die, only a few to return, this became a matter for the Crime Haters. Patrick Dawlish, Deputy Assistant Commissioner for Crime at New Scotland Yard flew to the scene – and very nearly to disaster.” IN STOCK FOR IMMEDIATE DESPATCH
