Comments & Further Information

A UK paperback  originally published in this edition by Four Square Books in 1962. This is a reprint of that edition from 1964.

Covers are showing signs of wear to the extremities with various chips to edges.  Small tear at base of book spine.  Two remainder marks on the bottom edge of the text block and a single remainder mark  on the top edge of the text block.  Heavy age tanning to pages, but the book remains eminently readable.

SYNOPSIS:  “Mankind’s future is at stake – a crowded planet, the menace of the inter-continental ballistic weapon. Is the rocket a means of salvation or is it a threat to the human race?

This novel deals with the men and the spaceships that they are trying to launch. Unconscious rebels, they are trying to break the bounds of the earth and inner space.  Will they succeed?  Will the great ships lift and orbit worlds beyond man’s ken?”
