Comments & Further Information

This book club edition is undated but is circa 1958. The book is in good condition for its age but is showing signs of wear.  Bumped at head and tail of book spine.  Age tanning to pages and foxing to page edges, not affecting text.  The dust jacket is complete but is definitely showing signs of wear, especially at the top and bottom of the spine which has many nicks and chips. There is considerable staining to the jacket (especially on the rear panel – might have been wet at some time) and the jacket is generally grubby… overall a bit of a mess, but the front looks considerably better than the back!

A Ray Felton Mystery.

SYNOPSIS:  “When scientist Jim Seton was killed climbing in Skye, it was agreed that the free world had lost one of the most important men in the field of nuclear missile interception. Ralph Chilford, against all the evidence, refused to accept that Seton, his friend since schooldays, was dead. He goes to Skye under the pretence of paying his last respects at the graveside. Ray Felton takes on all comers in a desperate attempt to foil an Iron Curtain plot by men who will go to any lengths to harm N.A.T.O. and the forces of freedom.”
