First UK edition in very good condition for its age. Minor bump at head and tail of spine and age tanning to pages. The title on the spine is clear and bright. The dust jacket is complete, still shows the price but is showing signs of wear. It is rather grubby, especially the spine which is also somewhat faded.
From the author of the Doctor series.
SYNOPSIS”Although Nuts in May has nothing whatever to do with doctors, it is written with the same lightheartedness as the doctor books. It opens with a sly, sideways glance at an English publisher which, in the interests of the solidarity of the profession, we will pass over quickly. The publisher is having a busy time. He is flying to America and his son Teddy is having an on-and-off engagement with Abigail. Father leaves for the USA and in walks Teddy’s uncle Lord Brickwood, absent these many years in Hong Kong, and it begings to dawn on Teddy, the black goat of the family. Lord Brickwood has a very shaky memory about which London clubs he belongs to. Neither is he too reliable about mundane things like bank accounts… ”
