First edition. Price still on dustjacket though it has been struck through with a biro and then an attempt has been made to rub it out. A sticker has at some time been placed on the dustjacket but this has since been removed, however, the shape of the sticker is visible. The third and final book in a trilogy of novels about Nefertiti. “The legacy of disorder left by the unwordly Akhnaten has now brought his son, Tutankhaten, to the Egyptian throne. But the sickly young Pharaoh is only a token ruler, and the real powers in the land are Ay the veteran politician and Nefertiti’s father, and Horemheb, the chief of the army and also her lover. The Devious Being finds Nefertiti at the centre of a bitter power struggle.” IN STOCK FOR IMMEDIATE DESPATCH
