First UK edition with a full 1 to 9 number sequence indicating a first printing. The book is in very good condition for its age.Very minor foxing to page edges (in one place only). Book spine bumped at foot. Tanning to pages making them quite brown but the book is eminently readable. Price still on dustjacket. “Steve Farris is an unexceptional middle-aged architect with an extraordinary past. When he was nine his father came home one evening and coolly murdered his mother, brother and sister, before vanishing off the face of the earth. Since escaping with his own life only by chance, Steve has coped mainly by blotting out the terrible memories. But when writer Rebecca Soltero arrives to interview him about his father, he is forced to reawaken the horrors of his childhood.
