A first UK edition hardback with a full 1 to 10 number sequence indicating a first printing. Bumped at head and tail of book spine. Heavy age tanning to pages making them very brown but still eminently readable. The dust jacket is complete, still shows the price but is showing signs of wear. There is a four inch crease across the bottom of the front panel of the jacket and it is foxed and grubby internally.
SYNOPSIS: “Ten-year-old Mohammed Maguire is one of the only survivors when the US marines destroy a terrorist training camp in the Libyan desert, killing both his parents. He is brought back to Ireland, the land of his mother’s birth, where he is treated as a public relations commodity by all sides of an argument he doesn’t understand, but which he can see with the clear eyes of a child.”
