A first UK edition hardback in very good condition for its age in a good dust jacket. Age tanning to pages making them rather brown but still eminently readable. Bumped at head and tail of book spine. The dust jacket is complete, still shows the price but is showing signs of wear at the extremities. The rear panel and the flaps are rather grubby and there are some chips to the jacket.
SYNOPSIS: “Set in the Congo of 1965, an unforgettable vignette of America’s role on the world stage. Matata means ‘trouble’ in Swahili.”
