A UK paperback edition. This is a 1968 reset and reprinted edition of the 1963 Panther edition. The title was first published by William Collins in 1940.
Heavy age tanning to pages making them rather brown but still eminently readable. The covers, are showing some slight signs of wear to the extremities; crease at top edge of front cover, and the rear panel is a little grubby. The insides of the covers are tanned.
SYNOPSIS: “As Frank walked towards the compound gate, a voice called from one of the wagon sheds. He stopped dead, and before he turned in that direction he saw that the man by the gate had also stopped.
Frank didn’t answer. Another voice from the other side of the compound called ‘All Right’.
