This is an undated hardback book club edition circa 1953. The title was originally published in 1953 by John Gifford.
The book is generally grubby, especially the page edges. Bumped at head and tail of book spine and to corners. The pages are heavily tanned, especially the rear end papers. Previous owner’s name written on front end paper. The dust jacket has numerous small tears in it and is rubbed at the edges. The rear panel is very grubby. Internally it is heavily tanned.
