Comments & Further Information

This first UK edition hardback is in very good condition for its age. There is a light indentation running down the length of the front board. Foxing to leading edges of pages, not affecting text and some light tanning to pages. Priceclipped dustjacket, which is grubby internally. “Ulric Svennson was a dangerous man, a blond adventurer who faced a long term of imprisonment in a Rhodesian gaol for gun-running to the rebels in Katanga. He was also the only man who knew the whereabouts of Professor Georges Picou, the French naturalist who had disappeared somewhere on the Virunga, the mysterious range of volcanic mountains stretching northwards from Lake Kivu. Thus came about the strange pact between Svennson, the police and the two American scientists on whose behalf the Professor had been studying the habits of the mountain gorilla.” IN STOCK FOR IMMEDIATE DESPATCH
