First UK edition. This is an Ex Naval Library book. It bears a stamp saying “Theory Section HMS Vernon” on the FFEP and on the bottom of the book it is stamped “Supplied for the Public Service” but this does not encroach on the page faces. Bumped at head and tail of book spine. The dustjacket is complete but is rubbed and grubby Price still on dustjacket. J J Marric is a pseudonym of John Creasey. “Gideon loves a bus ride, reminiscent of childhood… but in these days even a bus ride can be perilous, since a gang is at work robbing any passenger they may find alone on the top deck.
