First edition with a full 1 to 10 number sequence indicating a first printing. In very good condition for its age. Tanning to pages making them rather brown but still eminently readable. Some rubbing to head and tail of book spine and boards. The dust jacket is complete, still shows the price and is showing some slight signs of wear at the extremities.
The second Inspector Carl McCadden Mystery.
SYNOPSIS: “The garden was immaculately landscaped, the front door and window frames freshly varnished. Inside, the black and white tiles and the mahogany panelling lent a sombre air to the hall, which contrasted somewhat with the kitsch green and orange floral wallpaper upstairs. And behind one of the orange-gloss bedroom doors, the bludgeoned and flayed naked body of a woman lay tangled in blood-soaked sheets.”
