This is a mass market paperback with a stated First NEL paperback edition October 1974. Quite heavy tanning to the pages but the book remains eminently readable. The covers are showing some slight signs of wear to the extremities and the insides are tanned.
Book 14 in The Edge Series.
SYNOPSIS: “THE BIGGEST SHOW ON EARTH: this is the claim of Roger Case as he travels the west with his wagon, his performers and the amazing exhibit – a pure block of gold worth $1,000,000. To the wild men of the west in the audience, this is just putting temptation in their way. Roger Case fears for his life and for his gold.
Edge rides into town and seems the ideal guard. Case argues that a man as fast as Edge and still poor just has to be honest! Soon Edge with cool and cunning involves the lives of an Indian, a knife thrower and two tigers in the safety of the Big Gold.”
