This is a first printing of the Pan edition paperback (the title was previously published in the UK by Rupert Hart-Davis Limited).
Tanning to pages making them rather brown but still eminently readable. The covers are showing signs of wear to the extremities and the rear cover is a little grubby and there is a purple mark on it. There is some damage to the front cover (see photo) and to the top of the book spine and at the very bottom of the rear cover. Reading creases to spine. The photos make the cover appear a brighter purple than it actually is.
