This is a first printing of the Gollancz edition which states “An abridged version of this novel was published in 1957 by Avalon and subsequently reprinted. This is the first unabridged version in book form.” Age tanning to pages. Minor tape residue on first page. Insides of covers are a little grubby with some tanning. Reading crease on rear cover adjacent to the spine. The book has been very tightly bound which has resulted in some rippling to the pages adjacent to the spine.
