First UK edition in very good condition for its age. Bumped at head and tail of book spine and some rubbing to edges of boards. Age tanning to pages and slight staining to top edges of pages and leading edges, not affecting text. The dust jacket is complete and still shows the price. However it is showing signs of wear and is scuffed at the edges and has some nicks and chips and a small tear on the rear panel. There is some staining internally and it is dirty at the top edge internally.
A true story of money, murder and betrayal. Gift inscription on half title page.
SYNOPSIS: “It began, for the police, in Salt Lake City in July 1978. Franklin Bradshaw – seventy-six, auto-parts magnate, one of the largest holders of federal oil and gas leases in the country – lying dead next to a cash register, shot twice at close range. But this riveting true story began long before the day of the murder – and the years of detective work that went in to solving it.”
