Comments & Further Information

First UK edition. The book is in very good condition for its age. Bumped at head and tail of book spine, and some rubbing to board edges. Light tanning to pages. Price still on dustjacket. This is Garry Kilworth’s first horror novel (he is more known for his SF and fantasy novels). “It is 1997 and Armageddon is now. All around the world, arson has become the number one problem for all major cities, particularly in the USA. Nobody seems to know what started this terrifying trend, only that the fires are apparently caused by incendiary bombs. Dave Peters is a San Francisco cop, recovering from a personal tragedy, when he witnesses an incredible phenomenon. A tenement explodes, and a stranger walks calmly out of the inferno, his clothes and hair unsinged, his body unharmed, a curious sweet smell accompanying him, when he should have reeked of charcoal and flame…” IN STOCK FOR IMMEDIATE DESPATCH
