Icelandic author Olafsson’s first novel to be published in English.
SYNOPSIS: “Peter Peterson is racked by nightmares of the crime he may have committed half a century ago, a crime of jealousy and betrayal that has shaped and overshadowed his life. These are his putative memoirs – the confessions of an Icelandic expatriate living out his final years in New York, a degenerate aesthete, rich and unscrupulous, a failed husband and father whose children are a ‘testimony to a mistake'”
