SYNOPSIS: “The heartwarming story of a young vicar’s first taste of village parish life in the Yorkshire of the 1960s. A Vicar’s Diary brings alive a rich tapestry of people and places in the Vale of York. In it the new vicar meets such colourful characters as Doris Harsley, who swears the new clergyman has a miraculous way with rubber plants, or the pensioners of the Eastwith home, who manage to do anything with their communion bread except eat it.”
