First Corgi edition. The book is in very good condition for its age, but is clearly showing signs of wear. Tanning to pages. Crease across the top right hand corner of front cover. John Creasey writing as Gordon Ashe. A Patrick Dawlish novel. “As the child slept, a man crept stealthily into her bedroom – starting back in terror when a toy parachute fell from the door as he opened it. But the child still slept – and lived – while in a room across the landing her father lay dead – murdered. Patrick Dawlish of the Crime Haters was called in immediately. He had a special reason to investigate the murder: the child’s father had been a lone-wolf British agent of rare courage, with whom Dawlish had once parachuted behind enemy lines during the war. And it proved to be no ordinary case”. IN STOCK FOR IMMEDIATE DESPATCH
