A first US edition paperback with a 1 to 9 number sequence indicating a first printing and a stated First Tor Printing. In good condition for its age. Very heavy age tanning to pages making them very brown but still eminently readable. (The flash has made the page in the photo look much whiter than it is). The covers are showing signs of wear to the extremities and are somewhat grubby. Some discolouration to the top edge and just below the top edge it looks like the discolouration has been caused by a sticker being removed. A previous bookstore’s name and address are stamped inside the rear cover.
SYNOPSIS: “Poor Thomas Diskant, he doesn’t want much: some stability, some money, a bestseller, a little peace and quiet. But with the holidays coming on, the bank account going down, and being the sole support for one and a half New York families, it doesn’t look like any of that is going to happen soon.
Poor Thomas Diskant. He’s a good man, husband, lover, father and writer. It’s just that nothing ever seems to go right. And that is A Likely Story.”
