SYNOPSIS:  “A survey of all strange cults, sects and esoteric religions of the world.

Why are millions of educated people today abandoning both the established religion of their parents and twenty-first-century scientific rationalism, instead turning to magic and esoteric teachings?

New religions are as old as time.  Neo-Paganism – witchcraft and Druidry – in all its colourful forms is one of the fastest-growing new religions in the western world.  Alongside this there has also been an upsurge in new age ideas of an even wider variety, including astrology, tarot, numerology, alternative healing and many others.

This fascinating book offers an accessible overview of a large number of these movements and beliefs, getting to the heart of their practices and ideas.”
