Comments & Further Information

A first UK edition hardback.  Bumped at head and tail of book spine.  Tanning to pages and some foxing to edges of pages not affecting text.  The dust jacket is complete and still shows the price but is showing signs of wear.  Creasing to edges to correspond with the bump and scuffed along the edges.  The flaps are yellow rather than white and are a little grubby.  Some tanning/foxing internally.

SYNOPSIS;  “Earth is dying as they predicted.  It is dying of over-pollution and over-population.  Only the adults can remember having seen blue skies.  Crops fail, the rain seems to fall perpetually, entire nations starve, governments collapse.

The Dag Hammarskjold is the last space-shop to lift off from earth. It carries a precious cargo for the developing colony on Mars, including ten children of genius-level intelligence.  The last gift from the dying Earth to a young colony that is now mankind’s only hope of survival…”
