Comments & Further Information

A first US edition paperback in good condition for its age.  Heavy age tanning to pages making them very brown but still eminently readable.  There is tape residue to the first and last page.  Previous owner’s name on title page.  The covers are showing signs of wear to the extremities.  Book remains tightly bound and square.

SYNOPSIS:  “A novel of some very extraordinary people in the very extraordinary world of the 21st Century.

They include a striking beauty who had ruled the White House for nearly a century, a pianist who played without touching the keyboard, the world’s last practising psychiatrist, a rabble-rousing time traveller and a host of other women, simulacra “chuppers” and conniving things, all meshed together in an intricately plotted novel of idea and counter-idea, action and reaction…”
