Comments & Further Information

This is a first printing of the VGSF paperback edition (previously published by Victor Gollancz in 1977).  In very good condition for its age.  Age tanning to pages making them rather brown, but still eminently readable.  Some slight signs of storage wear to extremities of covers.  Appears unread.

SYNOPSIS:  “Julio and his friends had salvaged a space capsule that had crashed on a remote Bolivian mountainside.  They had inhaled the strange red dust that the pod contained, and fallen into comas.  Only Julio and his beloved Angelina survived.  But now these two view their world in a new light, believing that they have been reborn as terrible, powerful Godlike creatures – the Inca and his Queen.

Meanwhile in Space, a manned mission to Mars is also about to discover the devastating effects of the deadly soil.

What is the mysterious constituent that makes this dust so literally mind-blowing?  And can it really increase Man’s evolutionary potential?”
