Comments & Further Information

This is a book club edition hardback.  Bumped at head and tail of book spine.  Tanning to pages and some foxing to page edges.  The dust jacket is showing its age with signs of wear to the extremities.  There are pieces missing at the head and foot of the jacket and also across the SU of suspects in the title on the spine and it is a little grubby.

SYNOPSIS;  “During a directors’ meeting of a decaying joinery business in the new town of Evingden, in Surrey, there is an explosion which kills three of them.  Experts say the offices were blown sky-high with blasting powder.

Superintendent Littlejohn of Scotland Yard comes down to help the local police with this difficult case which involves family feuds, matrimonial disasters, and angry discontented women mixed up in the affairs of the Excelsior Joinery Company… leaving Littlejohn to find a solution to the case in a most unexpected quarter!”
