Comments & Further Information

This book club edition is in good condition for its age.  Bumped at head and tail of book spine.  The pages are VERY brown and the front and rear feps are badly foxed, however, the book remains eminently readable.   The dust jacket is complete but is showing signs of wear at the extremities with various nicks and chips.  There is a small tear in the dust jacket spine, which is also faded.  The jacket is generally grubby.

SYNOPSIS:  “Philip Latimer came to Shellbridge as Town Planning Consultant and, while exploring the town, walked out on the pier. It was a foggy November night and he expected the pier to be deserted until he saw the girl in the mink coat – just before she went over the edge into the English Channel. He did not realise where her rescue was to take him until she told him she had not fallen or jumped, but had been pushed, and until he learned that she was the beautiful and wealthy Ruth Mannering.”
