This is a limited edition hardback (limited to 350 copies only). Attractive boards (Illustration on jacket and boards by Alastair). Price still on dust jacket, which mirrors the design on the boards. Includes an Introduction and Afterword by Francis Amery (Brian Stableford) who also translated this version. The title was originally published in 1901 in France. This translation first published by Dedalus in 1994. SYNOPSIS: “Monsieur de Phocas (1901) has been ranked with Huysmans’ “A Rebours” (1884) as the summation of the French Decadent Movement.
