John Collier is best remembered for his short stories, although he was also a poet, novelist and screenwriter. He was given the Edgar Award and the International Fantasy Award in 1952 for the collection Fancies and Goodnights, and several of his most memorable tales were adapted for television and film. (One even became a musical by Stephen Sondheim – Evening Primrose.)
It is hoped that this new selection will resuscitate Collier’s reputation and make his best work available to a new generation of reades
