Comments & Further Information

A First USA edition paperback with a stated “A Baen Books Original” and “First Printing, May 1995”. The book is in good condition for its age but is showing signs of wear.

Internally there is considerable tanning to the pages although the book remains eminently readable. There is a three-and-a-half-inch slanted crease across the top left-hand corner of the rear cover and the covers are showing signs of general wear. There are reading creases to the book spine.

SYNOPSIS:  “Former Olympic athlete Harris Greene’s career as a professional kickboxer has just self-destructed, and both his manager and his fiancee Gaby have dumped him. Things couldn’t get worse, he thought – but not only did they get worse, they got weird!

Looking for Gaby, he interrupted a bizarre trio, one of them with a face no human ever wore, as they were kidnapping her. And then he was hurled into another universe, landing in a version of New York like the 1930s, but bigger than life, with zeppelins floating overhead, huge cars straight out of a vintage Popular Mechanics, and looming skyscrapers out of Metropolis.

Harris’s only hope is Doc Sidhe, this Art Deco universe’s greatest champion of justice and thwarter of evil-doers, aided by his amazing crew.

Can the evil Changeling’s plot against both the universes be foiled? Can Harris return to his own universe and resume his kickboxing career? And what has happened to Gaby. Things look grim, but no challenge is too awesome for that hero of heroes…  DOC SIDHE.”
